Docked E-Scooter Service powered by Wiener Lokalbahnen Launches south of Vienna

KNOT is proud to announce the launch of their new public docked based public E-Scooter service powered by The Wiener Lokalbahnen, in collaboration with Ecoplus Niederösterreichs Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH. This shared mobility solution aims to enhance sustainable transportation options within the Industriezentrum Süd region.
The official launch event, held on March 19, 2025, featured prominent attendees including Lower Austria's Governor, Johanna Mikl-Leitner, who engaged with the new E-Scooter offerings. The event also saw active participation from Thomas Gruber, Managing Director of Wiener Lokalbahnen, and representatives from Ecoplus, underscoring the collaborative effort behind this initiative.
Peter Hollos, a key figure in the project's development, expressed his enthusiasm: "We are excited to introduce this sustainable and innovative mobility solution. Our goal is to provide efficient and eco-friendly transportation options that cater to the evolving needs of our community."
The service is designed to seamlessly integrate into the existing transportation infrastructure, offering users a convenient and environmentally friendly alternative for short-distance travel. With a focus on safety and user experience, the E-Scooters are equipped with the latest technology to ensure reliable and secure rides. First phase includes 40 of KNOT V6 charging points equipped with Segway L60 scooters.
It is a first large public deployment of KNOT V6 docking station, the latest universal solution for shared ebikes and scooters, capable of charging wide range of vehicles from various producers like OKAI, SEGWAY, Navee and others.
